About

Our Story

In 1902, the original Falls City Medical Society was chartered, and the members of this society were pivotal in the formation of Louisville’s Red Cross Hospital in 1899 as well as in the integration of both the University of Louisville School of Medicine (ULSOM) and the Jefferson County Medical Society in the 1950s. After a brief period of inactivity, Falls City Medical Society was re-chartered in 2017 with the founding Executive Committee: President Dr. Lewis Hargett, Vice-president Dr. Erica Sutton, Treasurer Dr. Kandis Adkins, and Secretary Dr. Tamea Evans.

Our Mission is to promote the science and art of medicine and to better the public health of the people of the Kentuckiana region.

Falls City Medical Society is an affiliate of the National Medical Association.
